Application Guide
For Raw Plaster, Concrete Slabs, Natural Stone Cladding, and Tiles
Measure Moisture Levels
Use a moisture meter to check plastered walls or concrete slabs. Ensure the moisture reading is 20% or lower for optimal results with Damp Gone. Higher readings dilute the product, reducing effectiveness.
Drying Time for Natural Stone and Tiles
Natural stone cladding or tiles should be exposed to sunlight for at least four days after rain or washing to allow full drying before applying Damp Gone.
Drying Time for Internal Walls
Internal walls require more time to dry compared to external walls. Use a moisture meter and wait until the reading is 20% or less before application.
Application Tools
Apply Damp Gone with a brush or pump spray bottle (a pump spray bottle is preferred).
Important Application Instructions: Wet-on-Wet Process
Damp Gone must be applied as a wet-on-wet application:
Tip: Avoid covering large areas at once, as the first coat may dry before the second coat is applied. Drying times vary depending on the material’s porosity and whether the application is indoors or outdoors. Test a small section first to monitor drying time.
For Painted Walls
Surface Preparation
Remove any loose paint and complete all prep work before applying Damp Gone.
Application
Spray two wet-on-wet coats of Damp Gone on the entire wall or affected area.
Drying Time Before Painting
Allow the wall to dry for two days after Damp Gone application. Then, you can apply plaster primer and paint.
Note: If white spots appear after painting, it’s just Damp Gone continuing to dry the walls—nothing to worry about.
